Richmond Olympic Oval
Stuart Olson Dominion was the Construction Manager for the Richmond Olympic Oval. The building was a 2010 Olympic venue for Long Track Speed Skating.
Post Olympics, the building houses a sport and fitness facility for the City of Richmond, which includes two IHL sized hockey rinks, courts for basketball, volleyball, tennis, and a running track. The building features a very unique roof structure, consisting of glulam/steel arches and innovative wood wave panels spanning between the arches. The project won the Vancouver Regional Construction Association 2009 General Contractor Award for a Project Over $50 Million.
